  16. cancer; in London. Fleeing the U.S. for Britain during the postwar
  17. red scare, he built a solid career in films (Give Us This Day),
  18. in TV (Holocaust) and on the stage. He devoted his last 20 years
  19. to leading an effort to rebuild the Bard's Globe Theater. It
  20. is due to open in 1995.
